CCQ Superintendent

Required profile

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles;
• Possess a Secondary School Diploma (DES);
• Hold a valid ASP Construction card
• Accurate and comprehensive knowledge of the rules, policies, procedures, laws and standards in the field of construction;
• Hold a valid driver’s license;
• Have a good understanding of plans and specifications;
• Ability to communicate;
• Ability to negotiate;
• Good adaptation to change;
• Excellent listening and problem-solving skills;
• Possessing skills to motivate and supervise employees;
• Sense of organization and responsibility;
• Good teamwork and analytical skills;

Tasks and responsibilities

Health and Safety  :

• Promote the company’s OHS culture and act as an example;
• Collaborates with the project manager in developing safe work methods;
• Plan and ensure a safe workplace and environment;
• Ensure compliance with OHS guidelines, methods and regulations;
• To provide moral and physical support to our staff when needed;
• Ensure the application and use of personal protective equipment;

Efficiency  :

• Collaborates with the project manager to establish the overall project timeline;
• Determine with the project manager the human and material resources in relation to the overall project schedule;
• Ensure daily monitoring of methods and operations on site in an effective and efficient manner;
• Optimize the daily use of resources;
• Follow up with the foreman during the three daily active supervision reviews using the computer tool provided;
• Communicate resource needs to the allocation on a weekly and daily basis;
• Offers innovative technical solutions to optimize costs and deadlines;
• Communicating and managing with objectives; 

Customer service  :

• To act professionally and provide technical support in our areas of activity;
• To be attentive to the client’s needs and constraints;
• Working in collaboration with the client for the success of the project;
• To have a professional and respectful attitude towards all stakeholders on the construction site;

• Ensuring compliance with standards in the execution of our work;
• Validates daily the quality of work carried out on site with the foreman;
• Detect and participate in the operational resolution of non-conformities;
• To ensure the quality of the work of the teams on site; 
• Plan and ensure compliance with environmental standards;

• Supports foremen in developing their skills;
• Ensure that the necessary information is communicated to teams for the successful completion of projects;
