Position Overview
Autodesk is looking for an intern to join the Autodesk Platform Services Data Models Team. The team delivers high-value, exabyte-scale, and cloud data platform components powering desktop, mobile, and web products. This enables our product teams to build cohesive in-product data experiences, our partners to integrate and expand our data, and our end-users to work with their data across all Autodesk products.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Software Development Manager based in Canada, and the role is a hybrid based in Montreal. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and to help evolve developing the engineering discipline in a lean/Agile environment and to contribute to an organization committed to continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Involve with all aspects of software development, working to create and maintain the most reliable, secure, performant, and high throughput service for our customers by applying cloud technology
- Partner with product managers, product owners, software architects, and other development teams to iteratively turn high-level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to customers incrementally
- Contribute to software design and architecture by using cloud design patterns and injecting your cloud expertise into the entire development lifecycle
- Document and present your ideas and solutions thoroughly
- Work with some of the smartest and also teach us
- Experiment, learn, and grow
- Deliver code that millions will use
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics or Computer Science
- Java Knowledge is a strong preferred skill
- Experience with a large scale, distributed application design and familiarity with application development is a strong plus
- Experience with object-oriented design patterns
- Experience with Databases and database design principles
About the Canada Intern Program
The 2026 Canada program runs for 16 weeks (Sep 1 – Dec 18). All internships are paid.
